The Weikart Center has developed and validated two measures focused on social and emotional learning, the SEL Program Quality Assessment and the Staff Rating of Youth Behavior.

Workshop participants will learn more about these measures, the theory that underlies their design and use, and review the types of evidence about OST program performance that the measures make possible. Emma Bergman, from the Philadelphia Wooden Boat Factory will share highlights from their Staff Rating of Youth Behavior data collection process and findings. The Weikart Center's "Quality-to-Outcomes" strategic vision for SEL measurement and evaluation will also be discussed.
